Modern Mediterranean cuisine under the lemon trees
In Anacapri, on the island of Capri, Casa Mariantonia is a former residence transformed into a boutique hotel in a pedestrian zone, still not very popular with tourists.
Built in 1800, the residence was transformed into a small inn by the great-grandmother of Pierpaolo, Marcello and Mariangela, the 3 brothers who run it today and are happy to welcome travelers to their 9 rooms and suites. Each room has been designed to make guests feel at home, blending classic elements of Capri architecture with contemporary decor.
On the dining side, La Zagara restaurant offers travelers the unique experience of dining “under a lemon sky”, thanks to its terrace populated by lemon trees. Savour the chef’s dishes and finish your meal with a glass of Limoncello, which, according to legend, was invented here by great-grandmother Mariantonia. A few steps from the restaurant, the La Zagara wine bar is the perfect place for your aperitif.
Thanks to its privileged position, Casa Mariantonia is a perfect starting point for visiting Villa San Michele, Mount Solaro, the center of Capri and the famous Grotta Azzurra, Marina Grande and the lighthouse.
