In the heart of Nardò, in Italy’s Puglia region, Palazzo Tafuri is an elegant, newly renovated boutique hotel that has retained its authentic character while adding modern comforts.

Formerly the residence of the Zimara family, then passed to the Tafuri family, the palace now belongs to the Counts of Espous, who oversaw its renovation. Each room is named after a medicinal plant in honor of Vincenzo Zimara, Nardò’s renowned herbalist and pharmacist, and is decorated with works by local and international botanical artists. On the hotel premises, you’ll find a collection of cacti and succulents carefully selected by the Comtesse d’Espous.

In the kitchen, chef Antonio Capoccello, with his international background, offers an inventive cuisine featuring local and seasonal produce.
