More than 110 years ago, the Ahrenberg already hosted guests on its premises to provide a break and refreshment for body and soul.
Since then, our Romantik Hotel Ahrenberg has been telling its story once you pass the entrance to the hotel lobby: from its origin as a small outpost to the elegant country-style hotel it is today.

Meet the different generations of your hosts: similar as in old times, when Grandma Stober was still baking the daily cakes, our kitchen team still caters to everybody's needs and expectations.
Even more romantic is our location, right on the hills and woods of the "Brothers Grimm" country, overlooking the Werra river valley and spa town of Bad Sooden-Allendorf.
Whether you enjoy your break on our sunny terrace or in one of our restaurants, you will inhale the family and warmth everywhere. This is why some of our guests say that returning to the Romantik Hotel Ahrenberg is almost as coming home again.
As we embrace our nature, we prefer using regional products for our kitchen and even more importantly, want to save natural ressources. Some years ago, we went into a collaboration with the National Forest and have direct access for deer from our woods. Additionally, the farmers in our region who have gave up farming are now growing a grass on their fields that is the natural source for our energy supply. Growing only a few miles around the hotel, we harvest the grass, process it and use it for our energy and heath supply – naturally clean energy.
